“No one ever injured his eyesight by looking on the bright side of things” - Author Unknown
In almost every situation that happens, you will have the opportunity to consider the worst or the best outcome. Even in terrible circumstances, there are glimmers of hope you might focus on and even in glorious events there are those underlying thoughts of worry or despair you might cling to. It more than just being optimistic or pessimistic by nature; it is really more of a conscious decision you can make to look on the bright side or dwell on the negative.
Not only will learning to see the upside and looking for the silver lining increase your enjoyment of each situation, but it will in the long run it will expand the capacity to experience joy and peace in life, no matter the circumstances you find yourself in.
